Sports rehabilitation and injury prevention
Sports rehabilitation is a specialization within physiotherapy, in which during treatment and supervision a lot of attention will be paid to your natural (tissue) recovery, so that you can resume your sport as early as possible in a responsible manner. Making a treatment plan and a rehabilitation schedule in relation to your sports practice is the work area of your physiotherapist. Different aspects (agility, strength, coordination, speed, and endurance) are taken into account and integrated into the treatment. The physiotherapist trains you sport-specifically and functionally so that you can recover to your original sport level.
With injury prevention we want to give athletes a scientifically substantiated schedule with the aim of minimizing the risk of a (re) injury. This schedule is drawn up on the basis of an introductory meeting (anamnesis) and a clinical examination with a number of specific tests.
Postoperative rehabilitation
We mainly focus on rehabilitation after surgical interventions such as prostheses, fractures and ligament injuries. A treatment plan is drawn up in consultation with the surgeon and the rehabilitation is objectively adjusted and monitored.
Cardiovascular & respiratory rehabilitation
During this rehabilitation (sometimes in the form of group lessons) we mainly focus on the reconditioning of heart and lung diseases. We try to prevent or treat chronic conditions through physical activity and exercise training.
